I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
